Going with the flow means knowing that good things and bad things happen in life, accepting them when they come without kicking, screaming and starting a fight
We’ve all been in a situation when things didn't play out the way we wanted it to, and we just kept on trying to control everything, We end up only making it harder on ourselves. Strangely enough, sometimes the more we resist, the more it persists and it can feel like we’re trying to swim upstream against a strong current.
But the moment we take a deep breath and take a step back, things always seem to fall back in place. So next time when you feel like you are losing control use these 5 tips to go with the flow of life:
1 Just Breathe…
When you feel yourself getting angry or frustrated, because thing aren’t going like you want. Start with taking a deep breath or maybe take a few. Consciously focussing on our breath will help you to stay calm in a stressful situation and will make its easier for you to deal with the challenges life throws at you.
2. Change your thinking
You might not have control of everything that happens in your life, but you can control the way you look at a situation. You are in control of your reaction. Either you feel angry and upset when things don’t go the way you wanted or you accept the situation for what is it and open your mind for new solutions.
3 Laugh about it
No matter how bad the situation, try to find a way to laugh about. Instead of playing the victim card, laugh it off. Laughter is the best medicine and will help you put everything is perspective!
4. Look for the silver lining
When it feels like your world is crashing down and everything seems to be going wrong, remember when one door closes another one opens. Stay positive and open minded, you never know what new opportunities will come your way!
5. Don’t be afraid to try something new
Even though it's hard, try not to panic! Sometimes things were just not meant to be, and that’s oke. Remember what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Learn from the situation, get back on your feet and don’t be afraid to try something new!
